The Department of Tourism-Region III (DOT-III), in collaboration with the Clark Development Corporation (CDC), recently earned top recognition for their joint project during the Philippine Tourism Investment Readiness Bootcamp, facilitated by the Department of Tourism and the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) for all DOT Regional Offices, Local Government Units, and Tourism Enterprise Zones.
The three-part workshop, conducted from November to December 2025, guided participants through tourism investment fundamentals, project refinement, and investor pitching. DOT-III first participated in Workshop 1 on November 17-18, 2025, focusing on project identification and initial packaging. In Workshop 2 on November 27-28, 2025, DOT III and CDC worked together to enhance the project’s financial structuring and alignment with global investment standards.
During Workshop 3 on December 15-16, 2025, DOT-III and CDC worked closely to finalize the outputs, including the investor pitch and presentation. Their joint effort was recognized as 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗺 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 under the Investor Pitching Track at the Philippine Tourism Investment Portfolio (PTIP) Workshop.
During the investor pitching, industry experts from Filinvest Hospitality, the Philippine Hotel Owners Association, Robinsons Hotels and Resorts, the Private Sector Advisory Council, and Leechiu Property evaluated the DOT III-CDC project, which secured 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 out of 17 nationwide proposals and is slated for inclusion in both the Philippine Tourism Investment Portfolio and the UN Tourism (UNWTO) Investment Portfolio, demonstrating its strong global investment potential.
This recognition underscores the strong collaboration between DOT-III and CDC, highlighting their joint efforts in positioning Clark and Central Luzon as premier destinations for sustainable, world-class tourism investment.
