The Department of Tourism – Region III (DOT-III) convened a meeting with the Local Government Unit of Porac, Pampanga, on February 18, 2026, to advance initiatives to strengthen nature-based and sustainable tourism development in the municipality.
During the meeting, DOT-III presented key programs and strategic interventions to enhance tourism activities and maximize the benefits of Community-Based Tourism (CBT). Discussions highlighted Porac’s rich natural assets and cultural heritage, including ancestral domains with strong potential for responsible tourism that promotes environmental stewardship, cultural integrity, and inclusive growth for Indigenous Cultural Communities.
The engagement concluded with a shared commitment to align strategies and concrete actions toward positioning Porac as a leading nature-based tourism destination in the region.
