As part of the Filipino Food Month observance, personnel from the Department of Tourism – Region III held “Kain, Kwento, Kultura: A Filipino Agape” today, April 28, at the DOT-III Office in Clark Freeport Zone. This event celebrates the sacred act of sharing.
“Agape — a word that means selfless, joyful love — reminds us that every meal, when shared, becomes more than sustenance; it becomes a bridge between hearts, a story woven in flavors, a memory carried forward through generations,” said RD Richard G. Daenos, Ph.D., in his opening speech.
“May this Agape feast remind us that when we share our blessings, we multiply them. When we break bread, we break barriers. And when we celebrate food, we celebrate life itself,” added RD Daenos.
Let us honor Buwan ng Kalutong Pilipino by sharing a meal with a fellow. Whether through a grand fiesta or a humble lunch, let us savor the blessings and the gift of good company.
