The Department of Tourism – Region III holds GastroCultural Tour as part of Food Talks 2025 in Angeles City, Pampanga

The Department of Tourism – Region III’s 𝗚𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿 brought various stakeholders on an immersive journey to rediscover Pampanga’s traditional flavors, artistry, and living heritage. The tour is a component activity of the Food Talks 2025: Global. Gastronomy. Goodwill. in line with the Filipino Food Month celebration.

Held on April 26, the GastroCultural tour covered the municipalities of Sta. Rita, Guagua, Bacolor, Floridablanca, Sto. Tomas, and the City of San Fernando.

The day began with a hearty heritage breakfast at the 𝗚𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗰𝗼 𝗔𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗼𝗿, followed by a visit to 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗟𝗮𝘆𝘂𝗴’𝘀 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘀 𝗚𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮 & 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘂𝗺 which showcased sacred Kapampangan artistry. Participants then offered prayers and admired the 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝗵𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗟𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗮𝗯𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻, explored the serene 𝗦𝘁𝗮. 𝗥𝗶𝘁𝗮 𝗘𝗰𝗼 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸, and took part in a hands-on cooking immersion at 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘁’𝘀 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗻.

In the afternoon, a refreshing halo-halo treat awaited at the 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗮𝘇𝗼𝗻’𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝘂𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗮, before guests tried their hand at wheel-throwing and pottery design at the 𝗣𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮 𝗣𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸, paired perfectly with a cheesebread merienda from 𝗟𝗕𝗦 𝗕𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽. The day wrapped up with a vibrant stop at the 𝗚𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 in the City of San Fernando.

Through food, art, faith, and craftsmanship, participants experienced the living stories that continue to make Pampanga a gastronomic heartland.
