The workshop brought together department heads of the local government unit of Baler and regional tourism stakeholders to strengthen Baler’s tourism planning through collaborative discussions and activities guided by the DOT Tourism Guidebook for LGUs. Participants reviewed the municipality’s current tourism situation, discussed national policies, and worked on strategies to address local challenges and opportunities. The sessions ended with the presentation of a draft tourism circuit proposal and discussion of an initial action plan, marking an initial step in the formulation of Baler’s Local Tourism Development Plan.

This initiative highlights DOT Region III’s commitment to supporting local governments and stakeholders in developing strategic and sustainable tourism plans.
