As part of the ongoing Pawikan Salakniban Festival, a Lecture on Pawikan Conservation Practices was held at PawiCare, Purok 5, Brgy. La Paz. The activity gathered surfers, San Narciso resort owners, and including Haya Beach Resort of Botolan and PawiPaint contest participants to learn practical ways to protect sea turtles and preserve our marine ecosystem.
This was followed by the judging of PawiPaint artworks from participating schools, which showcased the creativity, awareness, and advocacy of young artists in promoting marine conservation. Inspired by the theme โPangalagaan ang Pawikan, daan sa masaganang karagatan,โ the artworks reflected the importance of protecting sea turtles as a vital step toward a sustainable and thriving marine environment.
We extend our sincere appreciation to our judges, Ms. Leah Fatima S. Cadavos, Ms. Angeline B. Concepcion, and Mr. Brendale A. Tadeo, for generously sharing their time, expertise, and commitment, which greatly contributed to the success of this meaningful activity.
