An overview of the Local Tourism Guidebook and Gender and Development (GAD) was successfully conducted on January 20, 2026, at the Bacolor Tourism Center as a key preparatory activity for the formulation of Bacolorโs Local Tourism Development Plan (LTDP). The activity brought together key stakeholders, including the Municipal Planning and Development Office, tourism staff, associations, and hotel, resort, and farm owners.
Highlights included the presentation of the Local Tourism Guidebook as a reference for industry standards and promotion, as well as discussions on integrating GAD principles into tourism programs. Participants, including Municipal Tourism Officer, Mr. Voltaire San Pedro and , actively contributed insights toward embedding gender-sensitive and sustainable practices.
Moving forward, stakeholders are expected to continuously collaborate and apply the guidebook and GAD principles in the development of an inclusive, sustainable, and community-centered LTDP for Bacolor.
