The DOT Region III successfully hosted the Tourism Enterprise Forum with the theme: Enhancing Collaboration towards Compliance and Sustainable Growth on December 4, 2025 for Tourism Enterprises and December 5, 2025 for Tourism Officers and Business Permit and Licensing Officers from Central Luzon to enhance industry-wide adherence to Philippine tourism, environmental, accessibility, and digital safety standards.
The forum aimed to reinforce the capacity of tourism establishments, Tourism Officers, and BPLOs to adhere national requirements relating to Department of Tourism (DOT) Accreditation, Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Environmental Permit Compliance, adherence with BP 344 (Accessibility Law), and the increasing importance of Cyber safety in business operations.
The forum featured several key speakers: Mark Erron San Mateo (DENR-EMB) and Ronald G. Estrada (PAMBCS-DENR-R3) guided participants on DENR Environmental Permits, Ms. Mary Ann Biliwang (City Government of San Fernando, Pampanga) covered BP 344 compliance, Ms. Jean Piaget Manabat and Ms. Erica Lapitan (Tourism Development Division of DOT-Region III) on tourism statistics, Atty. Jerilee Grantoza (Chief, DOT-OTSR-SMED) on DOT Accreditation, and Ms. Ofelia Borral (DICT) on cybersafety. On Day 2, Mr. Romano del Rosario (DOT Resource speaker) discussed tourism awareness specifically for tourism officers, Ms. Vivian Saulo (NCDA) discussed BP 344 Accessibility Law Compliance and standards, while Mr. Christian Salazar (OIC,CICC) covered cybercrime awareness and cyber safety.
Regional Director Richard Daenos emphasized the broader implications of regulatory adherence, stating, โ€œStrengthening compliance is not only about meeting regulatory requirementsโ€”it is about fostering a safe, sustainable, and inclusive tourism environmentโ€
The Department of Tourism Region III remains committed to collaborating with national agencies and stakeholders to elevate industry benchmarks, foster sustainable practices, and ensure secure and enriching experiences for all travelers.
